Peddler's Village Grand Illumination: Here Are The Details

Throughout the holiday season, Peddler's Village will be illuminated every night by a million festive, colorful lights.

LAHASKA, PA — The dark cloak of evening is descending earlier now, but good news: Peddler's Village will soon be illuminated every night by a million festive, colorful lights. The holidays are here!

Details follow regarding the village's Holiday Kickoff Weekend, including its traditional Grand Illumination Celebration happening tonight and the opening of the annual Gingerbread Competition & Display this morning.

  • What: Grand Illumination
  • When: Friday, Nov. 17 beginning at 4:30 p.m. Special lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. hosted by Santa

The Peddler’s Village Grand Illumination Celebration will take place on Friday, November 17 beginning at 4:30 p.m. with festive performances, outdoor food and drinks, and a special lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. hosted by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and musical artists Martin & Kelly.

Shops will be open tonight until 10 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 19, the village's Holiday Kickoff Weekend will feature additional live entertainment and musical performances, festive dining specials at village restaurants, eateries, and tasting rooms, and extended shopping hours.

  • What: Gingerbread Competition and Display
  • When: Opens Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.

Also opening on Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. is the 39th annual Gingerbread Competition & Display
featuring dozens of carefully crafted gingerbread masterpieces submitted by Philadelphia-area residents, organizations, and businesses.

The free display, housed in the Peddler’s Village Visitor & Event Center, will be open daily through January 14, 2024 (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
