Phillips' Mill Issues Call For 97th Juried Art Show Submissions

NEW HOPE, PA – Phillips' Mill is now accepting submissions for this year's prestigious Juried Art Show, which is celebrating its 97th anniversary in 2026.

Submissions will be accepted through August 30, said organizers, adding that all submissions, without exception, must be registered online through Smarter Entry and delivered to the Mill on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, Sept. 10, 11 or 12 for in-person jurying. The exhibition will be held at the Mill and online, Sept. 26 to Nov. 1, open daily from 1 to 5 p.m.

Artists should consult the show’s prospectus on the Mill’s website at phillipsmill.org/prospectus where it can also be downloaded as a PDF. The prospectus outlines a host of important details including the registration link to Smarter Entry, important dates, guidelines for each of three categories of submissions, as well as tips on photographing your work for best results for the online portion of the show. NOTE: All artwork must be for sale.

Phillips’ Mill welcomes submissions from emerging as well as established artists within a 25-mile radius of the Mill. Submissions will be juried by an all-new panel of distinguished jurors: Adriano Farinella, Chelsea Luster, Margaret Winslow, Dennis Beach and Susan Hagen. For more

An entry fee of $40 covers submissions to all three categories –– framed works, sculpture, and unframed works displayed in portfolios throughout the gallery. Members of the Mill receive a 50% discount ($20). Join online before submitting to take advantage of this member perk. A special discount code will be furnished to all members.

A highlight of the show is the annual Preview Reception for Patrons and Accepted Artists, held the evening prior to the show’s public opening. This year’s Preview will take place
Friday, September 25, 2026. People interested in attending can become patrons of the art show by making a donation on the Mill website at phillipsmill.org. All contributors at the patron level receive an invitation to the Preview Reception.

“Phillips’ Mill In Winter” by John Kane of Erwinna depicts the historic mill, home to the Phillips’ Mill Community Association since 1929 and the setting for its annual juried art show. It is this year’s show’s “signature image.”

Awards are always a high point of this show. Last year, jurors recognized 25 artists with awards totaling $14,500 funded by the Mill and patrons of the show. This year will be similar.

Phillips’ Mill Community Association continues the legacy of its founders, William Lathrop, Edward Redfield, Daniel Garber, Fern Coppedge and other New Hope School artists, by providing a welcoming space for artists to gather and exhibit their work, a tradition begun nearly a century ago. Just as they exhibited the art of their time, Phillips’ Mill takes pride in
presenting the art of today, from traditional Bucks County landscapes to the modern and abstract.
