Phillips’ Mill’s Emerging Playwright Competition Now Accepting Entries
A distinguished panel of judges will select up to six plays to be presented before a live audience at a staged reading this fall.

NEW HOPE, PA — The prospectus for the 6th Annual Juried Emerging Playwright Competition is now available online. The acceptance period for submissions continues through August 27 at midnight. A distinguished panel of judges will select up to six plays to be presented before a live audience at a staged reading on Saturday, November 18.
From its inception, the Emerging Playwright Competition has been a favorite among artists, bringing original, one-act works to the historic stage at Phillips’ Mill in a late fall treat for the entire community. The first 50 entries submitted are considered for the competition.
A non-refundable fee of $10 per script is required for entry. Each of the plays selected for the staged reading will receive a cash prize of $100. Selected plays will be announced on the Phillips’ Mill website during the week of October 9.
