Police Announce Road Closures, Safety Measures For New Hope PrideFest
Roads will close around 10 a.m. and remain closed until after the parade, according to the New Hope Borough Police Department.
NEW HOPE, PA — In conjunction with the big New Hope Celebrates Pride Parade scheduled for Saturday, May 20, the New Hope Borough Police Department will be implementing no parking zones in the community.
On Saturday, May 20 there will be no parking on South Main Street, 1-15 North Main Street and 1-19 West Bridge Street. South Main Street will remain closed until after the New Hope Celebrates Pride Parade is over (approximately 1 p.m).
Prior to the start of the parade (approximately 1o a.m.), South Main Street and surrounding streets
will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Please make travel plans and parking arrangements accordingly.

During the event, police are also putting attendees on notice that all bags along the parade route and in the festival venues will be subject to search.
"We can all play a role in keeping our community safe. Please be aware of your surroundings and if you see an unattended object or something suspicious taking place, call it to the attention of the nearest law enforcement officer. In case of an emergency, call 911."

Eastbound travel on West Bridge Street:
- West Bridge ST @ Sugan RD
- West Bridge ST @ Old York RD
- W Bridge ST @ W Ferry ST & Chestnut ST
- W Bridge ST @ Stockton AVE
Southbound travel on North Main Street:
- N Main ST @ the 202 Spur
The Free Bridge:
- Main ST & Bridge ST
Southbound & Northbound travel on South Main Street:
- S Main ST @ E & W Ferry ST
- S Main ST @ E Mechanic ST
- S Main ST @ New ST
- River Road (SR 32) @ Windy Bush RD (SR 232)
- Riverwoods DR @ The Deerpath
- New ST @ W Mechanic ST
Eastbound on Mechanic Street:
- W. Mechanic Street @ Oscar Hammerstein Way
- Stoney Hill Road @ S Sugan RD
The roads will be closed at approximately 10 a.m. and will reopen after the parade is over. For the safety of officers, volunteers, parade participants and spectators, do not drive around the barricades, barrels or cones.
