Police are investigating an alleged threat made against a school in the New Hope-Solebury School District. Classes are canceled Friday.

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope-Solebury School District was closed Friday as police investigated an alleged threat made against a school in the district. The threat is not currently believed to be credible but the schools were closed out of caution, authorities said.
According to information jointly released by Solebury Township police and New Hope Borough police, both departments were informed of the possible threat at 6:45 on Thursday.

A phone call was received by a student indicating a threat of violence towards the school and students, police said.
No further details about the alleged threat were made available. The investigation is ongoing.
