Police Targeting Pedestrian Safety, DUI Enforcement In New Hope
The police department will be conducting pedestrian safety and DUI enforcement campaigns during a two day period.
NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope Borough Police Department will be conducting targeted pedestrian safety and DUI enforcement in the borough on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20 and 21.
The pedestrian campaign will focus on drivers failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks with the goal of reducing the number of driving-related crashes involving pedestrians.
Any driver failing to yield to pedestrians and stopped by police will receive a ticket.

In addition, the department will be conducting roving DUI patrols in an effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers on borough roads.
The department is reminding drivers not to get behind the wheel and drive if they have been drinking.
