Prestigious Photography Show Opens At Historic Bucks Co. Mill
The fine art photography from the local region and beyond focuses on "Photography as Art, Photographer as Artist."

NEW HOPE, PA — The 33rd Annual Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition opens Sunday, March 29 and runs through Friday, April 17, featuring 150 works selected from over 1,000
submissions from across the U.S.
The prestigious show continues to showcase fine art photography from the local region and beyond with a focus on “Photography as Art, Photographer as Artist.”
The juried show will fill the Mill, upstairs and down, with extraordinary examples of what the artist’s eyes, heart and soul, paired with photographic technologies old and new, can produce. Various styles, techniques and processes are represented. Landscapes, portraits, still lifes, botanicals,
animals, architecture, and street photography are among the myriad subjects featured that provide viewers an opportunity to savor a large and extended visual feast.

Following the juried exhibition, the Mill’s photo committee — the dedicated volunteers who organize and mount the juried show — will exhibit their own work in the “Not-Your-Run-of-the-Mill Photo Show” from April 19 to April 26. A special feature of this show, “The Backwall,” highlights a themed collection of images that explore a common concept. This year’s theme is “Happy Mistakes,” unexpected images resulting from shooting errors such as a fogged lens, an accidental shutter release, or movement.
Gallery hours are Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays, 1 to 7 p.m. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. A donation of $5 is requested. All works will be available for purchase, as well as tees and totes sporting the Mill Photo logo.
