Lambertville-New Hope Pride Parade Returns May 21

NEW HOPE, PA — PrideFest returns to Lambertville and New Hope this year, with its signature parade scheduled for Saturday, May 21.

The celebration was called off in 2021 and 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Festivities, organized by New Hope Celebrates, run from May 20-22. This year's theme is "Dancing in the Streets."

The parade begins at Lambertville City Hall at 11 a.m. on the 22nd. This is where New Jersey's first same-sex marriages were performed in 2013, according to New Hope Celebrates.

Then, marchers cross Bridge Street into New Hope — making this pride celebration unique. It's the only one to cross a state line, as New Hope Celebrates noted on their website.

After the parade is the Pride Fair, at the end of South Main Street in Pride Park. The fair includes vendors, games, food, and drinks available for purchase. The fair is open from noon-4 p.m. There is a suggested $5 donation to enter for people 10 and older.
