Public Invited To Autumn Open House At Solebury Friends Meeting

The day promises engaging activities for children and adults alike including a pumpkin hunt and a tour of the graveyard.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — Have you ever driven past the beautiful stone Meetinghouse on Sugan Road and the graveyard and wondered about them? Here is a chance to learn more.

The Solebury Friends Meeting invites the public to attend an autumn open house on Sunday, Oct, 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. following Meeting for Worship. The day promises engaging activities for children and adults alike. Children can enjoy a Pumpkin Hunt on the grounds behind the Meetinghouse. Afterwards, they will rate their pumpkins to take home.

The Meeting will also offer guided tours of the historic graveyard. Take a journey through time as stories of local history from centuries past come to life. John Beacher will provide live music.

Bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy. The Meeting will provide cider, coffee, donuts and desserts. It is an ideal opportunity to connect with fellow community members and forge new friendships.

Solebury Friends Meeting upholds a longstanding tradition of welcome and inclusivity. All are welcomed to attend the Autumn Open House and to attend Meeting for Worship from 10 to 11, regardless of background or belief.
