Restaurant Burglary Under Investigation In New Hope Borough

Police said a man entered the South Main Street NEW business on Tuesday night and tried to open the cash register around 11:12 p.m.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — New Hope Borough police are investigating a burglary that happened on Tuesday at about 11:12 p.m. at a South Main Street restaurant.

According to police, someone entered the business during the incident and attempted to open a cash register.

Police described the suspect as a white male, about 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2, believed to be in his 20s to 30s, with a slim build and light facial hair. At the time, he was wearing a Boothbay Harbor, Maine T-shirt, a light-colored hat, light-colored Asics sneakers and jogger-style sweatpants.

The police department is asking the public's help in identifying the individual. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact the department at (215) 862-3033.

The investigation remains active.
