Road Closures, Security Measures For New Hope-Lambertville Pride

PrideFest is this weekend in New Hope and Lambertville, and local police say they will be checking bags at the parade and Pride Fair.

NEW HOPE, PA - LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — PrideFest is this weekend in New Hope and Lambertville, and local police say they will be checking bags at the parade and Pride Fair.

The parade begins in Lambertville on Saturday at 11 a.m., and crosses the Delaware River into New Hope.

New Hope Police said all bags along the parade route and inside the festival are "subject to search."

"We can all play a role in keeping our community safe," police said. "Please be aware of your surroundings and if you see an unattended object or something suspicious taking place, call it to the attention of the nearest law enforcement officer."

Viewing areas for the parade include three stages: one at the Lambertville House on Bridge Street, one at Ferry and Main Streets in New Hope, and one at 97 S. Main St. in New Hope.

  • Bridge St. (N Union St to Lambert Lane/the bridge)
  • No parking on Bridge St. from 9a.m. – 1p.m. 10:30a.m. – 12:30p.m.
  • Church St. 10a.m. – 12:30p.m.
  • Lambert Ln. 10:30a.m. – 12:30p.m.
  • Delavan St. 8:30a.m. – 12:30p.m.

The Pride Fair will be at Pride Park in New Hope, at the end of South Main Street in the Legion parking lot. The fair includes vendors selling crafts, jewelry, and clothing; local LGBTQ+ organizations; giveaways; and more.

Live music runs from noon-4 p.m. at the park.
