Route 32 Closure Set In New Hope-Solebury For Utility Work
Anyone planning to travel in the area may want to build in extra time, especially during the seven-hour closure.
NW HOPE, PA — A section of Route 32, also known as River Road, will close Thursday in Solebury Township and New Hope Borough as PECO completes utility improvement work, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The closure will be place Thursday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, Route 32 will be closed and detoured between Route 232, also known as Windy Bush Road, and Aquetong Road in Bucks County.
Drivers traveling through the area will be directed to use Route 232 and Aquetong Road during the shutdown. PennDOT said motorists should allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur.

PECO will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. PennDOT did not announce any additional closures beyond the one scheduled for Thursday.
The agency also said all scheduled activities are weather dependent. That means the timing of the closure could change if weather conditions interfere with the planned work.
