The annual tradition began after the destruction of the Roxey Ballet Company’s Black Box Theater in Lambertville by Hurricane Ida in 2021. At that time, Music Mountain Theatre graciously stepped forward to offer a venue for the ballet and the opportunity to relocate the evening of holiday music and dance to its facility.
The Mill Ballet School was also forced to move its studio from its Lambertville home due to the effects of the storm and now provides rehearsal space to The Roxey Ballet at its home studio in New Hope.
