The Salt House Gastropub To Open In New Hope Later This Month

Raven owner Steve Lau's latest endeavor is The Salt House gastro pub, which will serve locally-sourced food, craft beer and specialty drinks

A new gastro pub will open in New Hope later this month. The Salt House, to be located on East Ferry Street in a former salt shop, will be opening on Aug. 17.

The pub, to be located across the street from Martine's and behind Farley's Bookshop, will serve up locally-sourced food, specialty cocktails and craft beer.

According to The Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, the restaurant is owned by Steve Lau, who also owns the Raven. In 2016, he purchased the Ferry Street building, which was previously occupied by The Hearth restaurant, and has been preparing to transform it into a gastro pub.
