Firefighters in Lambertville put out a small fire inside an abandoned train car on the tow path Monday afternoon.

Firefighters in Lambertville put out a small fire inside an abandoned train car on the tow path Monday afternoon.
According to information from the City of Lambertville Fire District #1, firefighters were called to the tow path around 12:20 p.m. for a report of smoke from the abandoned train car. The crew of Rescue 17 responded immediately with Gator17 and found light smoke and the smell of wood burning, according to the City of Lambertville Fire District #1.
A small fire was located smoldering in the floor boards, firefighters said. The scene was cleared within 30 minutes.
