Solebury Man Charged With Homicide By Vehicle For Fatal Rt. 202 Crash: Police

A 37-year-old Solebury man has been charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI​ in connection with a fatal crash on Rt. 202.

SOLEBURY, PA — A 37-year-old Solebury man has been charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI in connection with a fatal crash in June. Solebury Township Police have charged Sean Karner in connection with the June 16 crash on Rt. 202, which killed a man and injured a woman.

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. along the 6100 block of Route 202, which is just south of Aquetong Road.

A police investigation determined that a 2013 Toyota Camry sedan going north on Route 202 was hit from behind by a truck being driven by Karner, who police allege was intoxicated. The driver of the Camry, Jacqueline Grosso of Solebury, and her husband, Ralph Grosso, were transported to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.

Ralph Grosso died from his injuries.

Karner, who sustained minor injuries, has been charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, reckless driving and related charges.

Karner was arraigned Friday. Bail was set at 10 percent of $500,000. Karner was unable to post bail and is being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility.
