Solebury Resident Discovers That Sometimes The Best Photo Is Right Outside Your Door

SOLEBURY, PA — Evy Inoue didn’t have to travel very far to find an award-winning view.

In fact, she found it on the road where she lives.

Inoue’s autumn photograph of Solebury Mountain Road has been selected for the First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown’s 2027 calendar, earning the New Hope resident a $100 prize.

Inoue walks Solebury Mountain Road every day with her dog, Ripley, and has seen the road in every imaginable kind of weather and light. But one autumn morning stood out.

“I’ve walked our road thousands of times, but that morning was special,” Inoue said. “The sunlight was coming through the trees beautifully, the leaves were glowing with color, and everything was so quiet and peaceful. I thought, ‘I need to take a picture of this.’ I’m very happy I did.”

Inoue, a customer of First National Bank’s Solebury branch, recently stopped by the bank to collect her winnings from Brad Kuber, Branch Manager. Her photograph will appear as one of the featured months in the bank’s 2027 calendar.

Anyone hoping to get a copy can stop by the bank beginning in October, when the calendars will be available free while supplies last.
