NEW HOPE, PA — Solebury School star student-athlete Sawyer Wesp (Class of 2024) will attend Westminster College in New Wilmington and join their men’s soccer program this fall.

Sawyer signed his letter of intent during a small ceremony held at Solebury on Wednesday, May 29. He was joined by coaches, his family, and teammates to celebrate the occasion.

“I have played many sports, but I always enjoyed playing soccer the most,” said Sawyer. “Westminster treated me the best and showed a lot of interest in how I played. It will be challenging, but I’m excited to take the next step to bigger challenges.”

At Solebury, he was named Boys Soccer MVP in his sophomore year, held the position of team captain for the past two years, and was given the Soccer Coaches Award in his senior year.

His parents have supported his athletic journey since the beginning. “He’s been playing soccer for about 14 years and really enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being part of the team. I think he will have a great experience on the Titans team,” shared his mom, Tiffany Robinson.

Solebury Boys Soccer had an outstanding year, advancing to the PJAA Championships and finished the season with a 10-5 record.

“It has been a joy working with Sawyer,” said Eric Soroka, head coach of Solebury’s Boys Soccer. “He’s the kind of model student-athlete that takes direction and goes beyond to another level. He will be missed, but it’s a huge win for the Titans. He’s got a bright future ahead.”

“Sawyer has been a fantastic athlete in every sport he’s played,” said Stacie Anastasio, Director of Athletics. “He has always been a leader on and off the field, which I will miss most.”
