Special Events at Music Mountain Theatre July 28 & 29
Janis Joplin Celebration, Comedy Special, and Broadway Cabaret coming to MMT

A trio of special events with something for everyone arrives at Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville July 28-29.
Music Mountain welcomes Amy Lynn and the Honey Men of NYC as they celebrate Janis Joplin’s greatest hits on Saturday, July 28 at 2pm. The band captures her unique sound and energy for an unforgettable performance celebrating this rock and roll legend. Amy and her horn-heavy band, the Honey Men, tear into Janis Joplin’s ferocious songs while re-contextualizing them for 2018. Songs include horn-powered arrangements of “Piece of My Heart,” Little Girl Blue,” “A Woman Left Lonely,” Me and Bobby McGee,” and more.
Following Amy Lynn and the Honey Men, comedian Dwayne Dunlevy is making his Music Mountain Theatre debut with a hysterical iteration of his popular ‘The C Word’ show series on Saturday, July 28 at 8pm. The first ‘C Word’ show took place at Harlan’s Cabaret in 2005. Dwayne is a Bucks County entertainer who has performed for over 20 years throughout the tri-state area. Audiences should be prepared for bawdy, irreverent and over the top comedic stylings; audience participation is even a possibility!

Closing out the weekend is Music Mountain Theatre performer Toni Thompson fresh off the NYC cabaret circuit with her one-woman show, ‘It’s My Life,’ on Sunday, July 29 at 5pm. Toni will take audiences on a funny and poignant ride into her world while she sings the hits of Broadway. Toni’s rollercoaster ride begins in foster care (“Maybe,” Annie), to her first time on stage (“I Could’ve Danced All Night,” My Fair Lady), through her awkward teens (“I’m Not That Girl,” Wicked), marriage, motherhood, career ups and downs and NYC dreams (“Over the Rainbow,” The Wizard of Oz) and finally, acceptance. Toni was last seen on stage at Music Mountain as Miss Lynch in Grease.
Tickets for Amy Lynn and the Honey Men and Toni Thompson’s ‘It’s My Life’ are $20 and are available online at www.musicmountaintheatre.org or by calling the box office at 609-397-3337. Tickets for ‘The C Word’ featuring Dwayne Dunlevy are available at http://www.dwayned.biz/.
