WATCH: Odette's Epic Move In 2-Minute Time Lapse

Watch Odette's epic journey in a two-minute time lapse:

NEW HOPE, PA — The historic Odette's building was relocated Wednesday to make way for a new luxury hotel. Crews worked throughout the day to move the historic building to its new location on South Main and New streets.

The new 54,000-square-foot hotel will be called the Riverhouse at Odette's, and will feature 34 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop lounge with an open-air bar, and Odette's Restaurant and Lounge. A 2020 opening is planned. Pancoast & Clifford of West Chester has been hired to build the new hotel.

"Yesterday we took a monumental step towards the future — embracing the past rather than erasing it. We're honored to have played a part in preserving a historic piece of New Hope, and look forward to paying homage to Chez Odette as we work towards the debut of The Riverhouse at Odette's to the community in 2020," the Riverhouse at Odette's posted Thursday.
