'Weird NJ' Coming To Golden Nugget Flea Market

Mark and Mark from Weird NJ have spent years documenting the Garden State's oddities. Meet them Sunday at the Golden Nugget Flea Market.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — There will be some special visitors at the Golden Nugget Flea Market this weekend.

Mark and Mark from Weird NJ will be at the popular local flea market on Sunday, Sept. 30. According to a post on the Weird NJ website, they'll be selling all kinds of "weird stuff," including the brand new issue of Weird NJ, books, T-shirts, hats, and more.

Weird NJ, which began as a homespun newsletter that highlighted odd news clippings, bizarre facts, and strange stories, is now in its 50th issue.

"We document (these stories) because we believe that they are an important and intrinsic part of our modern America culture and worthy of recognitions as such. One thing we will tell you though, none of the stories in this book are fiction—some might not be completely true, but none were made up solely for the purpose of entertainment," Mark and Mark write on the Weird NJ website. The Golden Nuggest, which has been in operation since 1967, is located off Rt. 29. Each week, area residents flock to the market to search for antiques, collectibles, art, rare finds and more.
