Winners Of Snow Folk Art Contest Announced In Solebury Township

SOLEBURY, PA — Judging is over and the winners have been determined for the 2022 Snow Folk Art contest sponsored by Solebury Township Parks & Recreation and Niece Lumber of Lambertville, New Jersey.

Cathy Cataldi of Furlong won first place for her creation of “Zanta Claus” with his golden bag of holiday gifts.

Second place went to Gretchen Rice of Solebury for her green and white Vintage Santa.

Local Girl Scout Troop 21724 and leader Lori Subotkowski took third place for the “Head Over Heels for Girl Scout Cookies” upside down snow folk creation.

Group and school winners included Amy Howard and Girl Scout Troop 21051, Melanie Pittner and the Mask and Zany Theatre Club at New Hope-Solebury High School, New Hope-Solebury Lower Elementary School 2nd grade (Keri Williams), Mrs. Miller’s Kindergarten at New Hope-Solebury High School and The Clubhouse for Kids.

Rounding out the contest were the category winners: The Matthews Girls (Ellianna, Mila and Angelina); Audra and Arleigh Catullo; and Gina Ferzetti.

Snow Folk Art will remain on display through Jan. 13 at the Solebury Township Municipal building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Please note that the building is closed on Fridays and on holidays.

After Jan. 13, all remaining entries will simply melt away.
