Woman Charged In Havana Arson Attempt: Cops

A woman is facing multiple charges after authorities allege she tried to start a fire inside of Havana in New Hope on Monday.

NEW HOPE, PA — A Bucks County woman is facing multiple charges after authorities allege she tried to start a fire inside of Havana in New Hope on Monday.

Andrea Lynne Dewolf, 51, of Dublin is charged with arson, a first-degree felony, as well as risking catastrophe, a third-degree felony, court documents show. She's also charged with eight counts of recklessly endangering another person.

The Intelligencer reports Dewolf attempted to ignite a plastic bottle filled with gasoline in the women’s bathroom of the popular S. Main Street restaurant.

She is also accused of doing the same thing in a bathroom at Thompson Memorial Church off Aquetong Road in Solebury earlier in the day. The church was open for a clothing drive, and there were many people inside, the Intelligencer reported.

She was arraigned Monday and her bail was set at 10 percent of $300,000. She is currently being held at Bucks County prison after she was unable to make bail, court records show.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 15.
