The National Merit Scholarship Corporation chooses 50,000 of the highest scorers on the PSATs from around the country for recognition.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation is a not-for-profit organization that offers college scholarship assistance. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation chooses 50,000 of the highest scorers on the PSATs from around the country for program recognition.
Finalists receive National Merit Scholarships, corporate-sponsored scholarships and college-sponsored scholarships.
