12 Shows Slated For Newtown's Music On The Street
The Newtown Mercantile Group is hosing 12 eclectic performances with rock, jazz, pop, and more, for Music on the Street in Newtown Borough.
NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The air in Newtown will be full of music from May through August as Music on the Street kicks off next month.
Twelve performances are slated to be held in front of 16 S. State St. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
The first show will be held May 30 with John D's performing classic rock, folk, and oldies.

Many borough businesses will be open late during these performance events, as well.

- May 30 — John D's: oldies, classic rock, folk
- June 6 — Cabin Jazz: jazz, lounge, bluegrass
- June 13 — BCX: soft rock classics and original pop rock
- June 20 — The Adam Nevada Project: an eclectic mix of classic rock
- June 27 — Glenn McCollum: singer/songwriter, solo acoustic, classic rock, folk, Irish, and original music
- July 11 — Bill Thomas: an eclectic mix with guitar
- July 18 — Hearts Club Band: Newtown's own Beatles tribute band
- July 25 — Greg McGarvey: original songs, rock classics, and modern gems
- Aug. 1 — PixieTwist Duo: an eclectic mix
- Aug. 8 — Cara Cartney and Mike Reinig: classic ballads to modern hip hop, eclectic mix, 1940s to 2000s
- Aug. 15 — Celtic Connection: Irish music
- Aug. 22 — Joe Rebl Band: rock, pop, alternative, and crowd favorites
