14-Day Challenge Update

We are one week into the 14-day challenge, and I really hope you are giving it a shot. If not, it’s never to late to join in and get started. You can do this challenge at anytime and as often as you like throughout the year. The 14-day challenge can jump start you into beginning a new healthy lifestyle whenever. Use it to reacquaint yourself with the healthier you or just follow it as a fun and healthy challenge.

I completed my regular Monday juicing cleanse. I had a sandwich on Tuesday for lunch, which I do not normally do during the week as I usually try to have a large salad for lunch, but I do feel good about how I finished off the day. On Tuesday evening, I had a salad for dinner and exercised on my elliptical machine at home for 30 minutes.

The beauty of the challenge is that it’s reasonable and very doable. I was able to eat the less than desirable lunch at work, but then I ended up limiting my simple carb intake later in the day by eating a healthy green dinner, and then I exercised. I essentially erased my mid day mistake and finished strong. I find this more satisfying than trying to limit my caloric intake during the day and inevitably gorging at night then going to sleep only to repeat the process over again the next day.
