2 Local 14-Year-Olds Caught Burglarizing Upper Makefield Home: Cops

When officers arrived at the residence, they located the teens, who were in the kitchen making marijuana brownies, police said.

Two local 14-year-olds were caught making pot brownies in a home they had burglarized in Upper Makefield on Thursday night, police said. The identities of the teens were not released due to their ages but authorities say one is from Newtown Township and the other is from Wrightstown Township.

According to Upper Makefield Police, officers were called to Independence Place around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived at the residence, they located the teens at the kitchen stove top making marijuana brownies. The two 14-year-old boys were taken into custody and remanded to the Bucks County Juvenile Detention Center.

"This is a good example of a collaborative effort between the community and police to keep a neighborhood safe," police said in an announcement.
