The debut of two new businesses in Newtown will be marked Saturday with ribbon cutting ceremonies.
The Newtown Business Association plans to hold ribbon cuttings Saturday at The Coffee Room on State Street and Acqua e Farina Brick Oven Pizza on Richboro Road.
The Coffee Room had a soft opening last weekend. The new coffee shop, located a few doors down from The Temperance House, seats around 30 people and offers wifi, as well as baked goods and light lunch items.

Acqua e Farina Brick Oven Pizza, located at the former Minuteman Press building, specializes in brick-oven pizza. The new pizzeria is operated by Gennaro Palino, whose father runs Vecchia Osetria, according to The Advance.
