2 Newtown Businesses Burglarized Overnight

Burglaries at Marco's Pizza and Primo Hoagies are under investigation. A burglar smashed out the front doors early this morning, police say.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township Police are investigating burglaries at two local businesses overnight. Marco's Pizza and Primo Hoagies, which are next to each other in the shopping center on S. Eagle Road, were burglarized around 3:45 a.m. on Nov. 28, authorities say.

Surveillance video shows the suspect using a crowbar to smash the front door of the pizza place. He stole cash before leaving through the back of the restaurant. Around the same time, there was also a similar burglary at the adjacent hoagie shop, police said.

Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify the suspect, who was captured on surveillance video at Marco's. "Although the suspect's face was covered, please take note of his mannerisms, clothing and footwear," police said.
