2017-18 School Calendar Approved For Council Rock Students

The Council Rock School District has approved a calendar for the 2017-18 school year.

Here are the key dates:

• The first day of school for students in grades K-6, 7, and 9 will be Tuesday, Sept. 5. The first day of school for all students will be Wednesday, Sept. 6.
• Schools will be closed on Sept. 21 and 22.
• Schools will be closed on Nov.7 for Election Day.
• The Thanksgiving break will be from Nov. 22 - 26.
• The last day of school before winter break will be Dec. 22. Classes will resume on Jan. 2, 2018.
• The last day of school for students is June 13, 2018 if no snow days are used.

The district has begun planning for the 2018-19 school year, announcing that the estimated first day of school that year will be September 4, 2018.
