The annual parade aims to provide a "magical experience for the whole community," according to organizers from the Newtown Business Association. "It is a great opportunity for local business to get involved and for families to line the streets to watch a spectacular event," the NBA said, noting in 2017, more than 50 groups participated.
The parade starts at the Stocking Works building on South State Street. It continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street. The parade ends at Sycamore Street and Durham Road.
