2023 Middletown Grange Fair: Weekend Animal Shows And Entertainment
The weekend features 4-H dairy and beef cattle shows, a market hog auction, goat obstacle course and a llama and alpaca demonstration.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — With lower humidity and sunny skies, look for big crowds this weekend as the 2023 Middletown Grange Fair wraps up its five-day run on Penns Park Road in Wrightstown.
The Dairy Cattle Show opens the fair on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the show arena. The public is invited to watch as a 4-H judge rates this year's herd.
Saturday also features a 4-H Market Hog Auction at 3 p.m., a 4-H Llama and Alpaca demonstration at 5 p.m. and a Beef Cattle Show at 6:30 p.m.

Jonathan Carey, livestock center manager at Delaware Valley University, and Heather Leatherman, assistant manager, with "Chicken Nugget," who won "Supreme Champion Ram." The university's sheep breeding program took home lots of ribbons for its ewes.

Sunday features a Goat Obstacle Course at 2 p.m. and a Rabbit and Cavy Parade of Breeds at 3 p.m.
Throughout the weekend there will be storytime sessions and 4-H crafts for the kids; mule demonstrations and opportunities to Meet the Belgians; horse-drawn wagon rides ($5 fee); tractor games; tractor parade (4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday); and plenty of opportunities to watch the hugely-popular hot dog pig races.
The weekend also brings the Penn State Extension back to the fair with its "Ask A Master Gardener" booth. Bring your gardening questions and try to stump the experts.
Don't miss the three buildings brimming with community and 4-H exhibits, including tables filled with freshly-grown vegetables and fruit. See who won this year's blue ribbons and Grange Fair bragging rights.

And take some time out on Saturday to enjoy the Grange Fair's popular chicken dinner. It will be served from 3 to 8 p.m. (or until sold out) in the fair's dining hall.
On Saturday evening, attention turns to the entertainment tent where the Buzzer Band will be performing live from 7 to 10 p.m.
Sunday brings the Tri-County Band to the entertainment stage for a 2 p.m. performance.

Fair Hours on Saturday, August 19: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Fair Hours on Sunday, August 20: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission: No admission to the fair. There is a $20 per car parking fee. Veterans can park for free (with ID). Proceeds from the parking fee benefit the all-volunteer Lingohocken Fire Company and
the Bucks County Fraternal Order of Police.
Weather Forecast: On Saturday, expect mostly sunny skies and low humidity with a high near 80. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Saturday Night it will be mostly clear with a low around 58. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. And on Sunday, expect sunny skies with a high near 86.
Amusement Rides: Hours are Saturday from 12 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. A special all-ride bracelet will be sold for $30 on Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
Rules: Dogs will not be allowed unless it is a service dog. This is for the safety of you, the public, the exhibitors, and the livestock at the fair. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are permitted on Grange property. No vulgar language or behavior is permitted on Grange property. And all children must be supervised by an adult.
