2nd Food Truck Fest To Be Held In Newtown In September

After an overwhelming response to the first Newtown Food Truck Fest, a second one is planned — and it promises to be bigger and better.

NEWTOWN, PA — After an overwhelming response to the first-ever Newtown Food Truck Fest, organizers have decided to host another one this summer, and it promises to be bigger and better.

"More food trucks. Longer hours. Those are the big changes that have been made for the Newtown Food Truck Fest: Summer Send-Off Edition on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Council Rock North High School," according to an event announcement.

The first fest, held on Father's Day, "was a huge success, but we learned that we needed more food trucks and extended hours to spread out the crowd,” said event organizer Andrew Smith. “We have made those changes and expect a great event.”

The September event, also a fundraiser for the Newtown Theatre, will be a Summer Send-Off Edition. It will feature more than 20 food trucks serving up a wide variety of food and desserts.

Parking for the event is a suggested donation of $10, with all proceeds benefiting the theatre, the nation’s oldest continuously operating movie theatre.
