3 Council Rock Students Receive Military Service Nominations

Three Council Rock students have received a military service nomination from Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.

NEWTOWN, PA — Three Council Rock students received a military service nomination from Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick. The nominations were announced during an event on Jan. 25.

This year’s class includes nominees with recommendations to the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“Ensuring that highly qualified young men and women with a desire to serve are given the opportunity to do so is vitally important,”said Fitzpatrick. “This event honors some of the most talented and promising young people in our community. There are few things more honorable than military service—and the willingness of these 28 individuals to step up, knowing the challenges they will face, is truly admirable. I commend each of them and know wherever their path leads that their futures are bright.”
