35 Graduate From Basic Fire Academy At Bucks County Community College
Congratulations and good luck to the men and women in the latest firefighter class.
Thirty-five men and women graduated from Bucks County Community College's Basic Fire Academy Tuesday at the college's Newtown campus, the college announced.
The newly-trained firefighters worked from August to December at the Bucks County Public Safety Training Centers in Doylestown and Croydon, the college said.
The trainees underwent 112 hours of training, including 16 hours of live fire practice in a burning structure, the college said.

The firefighters secured national certifications in Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, basic first aid and CPR.
Bucks County community College trains more than 65,000 first responders worldwide a year, the college said.
