51 From St. Mary Named Top Doctors For Philly Area

In another round of good news for St. Mary Medical Center, it was announced this week that 51 members of its medical staff were chosen as Top Doctors for 2018 by Philadelphia Magazine. The doctors were chosen by their peers as among the best in the region.

This comes just after it was revealed the local hospital was given an A grade for patient safety by watchdog group Leapfrog.

"I commend these talented physicians on their nomination to the distinguished Top Docs list for 2018," said Jim Woodward, president and CEO of St. Mary. "In addition, I would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of all our doctors who are committed to our mission and values in serving the needs of our community. Our patients and families can count on their experience and expertise in the quality of care they provide every day at St. Mary."

To come up with the top doctors, Philadelphia Magazine asks physicians to nominate their peers. The list is then compiled by healthcare researchers Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.
