5th Annual Newtown Irish Festival Starts March 12
The festival will run from Thursday, March 12 to Tuesday, March 17 at the Green Parrot in Newtown.

The Green Parrot is gearing up for its 5th Annual Newtown Irish Festival, a six-day party that starts Thursday, March 12.
The festival will run through St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday March 17.
The fun starts March 12 with live entertainment in the restaurant. On Friday, Ireland’s own Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones will perform from 6 to 10 p.m. under the Green Parrot Festival Tent on Silo Drive.

Entertainment will continue throughout the weekend, with live music, Irish step-dancing and traditional Irish food.
Live Irish music will be performed under the festival tent and indoors. Headline acts include The Hooligans, Clancy’s Pistol and Secret Service. Other artists include: Ray Coleman, Tommy McHugh, Chris Huff, McGraw & McLaughlin, Seamus McGroary and Seamus Kelleher.

Also, DJ “Irish” Johnny Bones will be spinning late night in the pub. The Green Parrot is located at 240 N. Sycamore Street, Newtown.
