An 8-year-old has died from injuries sustained in a Bucks County crash last weekend.

An 8-year-old has died from injuries sustained in a crash last weekend in Bucks County, police confirmed.
The crash happened on April 7 around 9:30 p.m. along the 300 block of Street Road in Upper Southampton. The boy, who was found unconscious at the scene, was flown to CHOP following the crash. He succumbed to his injuries Tuesday, April 10, police said. He was a Warminster resident.
The crash — which is under investigation by the Upper Southampton Township Police Department, the Bucks County Accident Reconstruction Team and the Bucks County District Attorney’s office — involved two cars and was nearly head-on.

The car going eastbound on Street Road during the crash was driven by John Burns of Levittown, police said. He and his wife, Debbie, were transported to Abington Hospital by Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad.
The driver going westbound on Street Road, identified as Kelly Colbridge of Warminster, became entrapped as a result of the crash. She had to be extricated by the Southampton Fire Company. Once freed, she was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Colbridge’s 8-year-old son was in the back seat of the car at the time of the crash. He was unconscious when officers arrived on the scene, but they were able to remove him and perform life-saving efforts until Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad arrived. He was transported to Abington Hospital and later flown to CHOP for further treatment.
Sadly, the boy passed away at CHOP three days later.
