After 13 Year Run, Newtown Fire Association Ending Beerfest Tradition
Over the years, the firefighters had built the end of summer event into one of Bucks County's premier beer tasting events.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Fire Association is turning off the taps.
After a 13 year run, the NFA has announced on its Newtown Beerfest internet page that the annual event won't be held this year.
"This decision was not made lightly and we are deeply grateful for the memories, camaraderie, and generosity you have shared with us throughout the years. Your contributions have been instrumental in helping us achieve our mission of protecting and serving the Newtown community," Beerfest organizers wrote.

The firefighters added, "While the Newtown Beerfest may no longer be on our calendar, your suppport remains as crucial as ever. We invite you to continue your invaluable assistance through our yearly fund drive. Your donations directly support our efforts to maintain and enhance the services we provide to the community."
The event has traditionally brought hundreds to the parking lot of the Stocking Works on South State Street in late summer for an afternoon of beer tasting, good food and live entertainment.

"Your presence and spirit have truly made this event as cornerstone of our community and a vital fundraiser for the Newtown Fire Association," the firefighters wrote. "Thank you for making the Newtown Beerfest a resounding success year after year. Your dedication and support have been truly inspiring and we look forward to continuing serving you and the community."
