Another Pizzeria Looking To Open In Newtown At Site Of Former Meglio's

A new pizza restaurant is looking to open at the site of the former Meglio's in Newtown Township.

Bricco Coal Fired Pizza has submitted an application to the township for a 56-seat restaurant at 25 Swamp Road, where Meglio's was located before moving down the road to Sycamore Street.

The application describes the business as a sit-down family pizza establishment, says Township Manager Kurt Ferguson.

The restaurant would be housed in a 2,000 square feet space with seating numbers similar to when Meglio's was at the location, he noted.

The Conditional Use application is up for consideration at Wednesday's Board of Supervisors meeting. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the township building. Here is the full agenda.
