Another Round Of Stormy Weather Headed For Pa., Forecasters Say

Forecasters predict another storm will hit the region mid-week, bringing rain, thunderstorms and the possibility for snow in some areas.

“The East Coast may have to deal with another round of stormy weather by the middle of this week,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Becky Elliott said.

AccuWeather forecasters say the storm track is still uncertain but ”odds currently favor rain in the major cities of the I-95 corridor.”

Last week, a powerful storm brought rain, high winds and thunder to the region. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado hit Lancaster County, Pa.

Here is the current forecast:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 58. Southwest wind 8 to 14 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 44. Southwest wind around 11 mph.

Monday: A chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 58. West wind 11 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Light and variable wind becoming east around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 50. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain before 8pm, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: A chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
