Newtown Anthropologie Opening Pushed Back
The retail store, which sells clothing, home wares and accessories, is now expected to open in October or November in Newtown.
The opening of Anthropologie in Newtown has been pushed back to mid-October or early November, property owner and developer Jim Worthington said.
The retail store, which sells clothing, home wares and accessories, was originally expected to open by the beginning of September at The Promenade.
The Promenade is a mixed-use development under construction at the old Acme site on Sycamore Street.

The community has been awaiting development of the former Acme site for years. Plans for The Promenade were approved in 2012 and the decaying building was torn down months later but construction stalled due to a sewer moratorium impacting Bucks County.
