Anthropologie is on track for a September opening in Newtown.
The retail store, which sells clothing, home wares and accessories, is expected to open by the beginning of September at The Promenade, according to property owner and developer Jim Worthington.
The Promenade is a mixed-use development under construction at the old Acme site on Sycamore Street.

Worthington said other retailers expected to open there in September include Bernie Robbins Jewelers and Verizon Wireless. He said he is working with other potential retailers as well.
When complete, The Promenade will also have 26 luxury apartments.

Worthington said the apartments should be completed by early October. More than half of the apartments, which will be leased, are committed to renters.
Worthington is working with local business Rittenhouse Home to complete the interior finishes on the apartments, which will have high-end flooring, cabinetry and more.
When complete, the apartments will be some of the most high-end in the region, Worthington noted. “I think these will be the nicest apartments outside of Center City,” he said.
The community has been awaiting development of the former Acme site for years. Plans for The Promenade were approved in 2012 and the decaying building was torn down months later but construction stalled due to a sewer moratorium impacting Bucks County.
