Arrest Expected In Wrightstown Murder: Bucks D.A.

Authorities to announce Wednesday charges in the death of a 72-year-old man in October.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County District Attorney's office is expected to announce today an arrest in the October murder of Richard MacFarland of Wrightstown Township.

The 72-year-old man was found dead Oct. 7 at his Wrightstown Township home. His death was later ruled a homicide by the Bucks County Coroner's office.

According to the coroner's office, MacFarland died from multiple stab and slash wounds.

District Attorney Jen Schorn will be joined at a press conference this afternoon by the investigative team from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Newtown Township Police Department.
