The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts!

Dance and Perform with Professionals!

The Moscow Ballet is casting student dancers from all over the Philadelphia area to perform side-by-side with the Moscow Ballet’s professional company of 40 Russian dancers in ancillary roles of Party Children, Mice, Snowflakes, Angels, Spanish, French and more! The experience of working and performing with professional ballerinas is often once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring dancers.

Performance Information

There will be only one performance: Monday, December 12, 2016 at 7:00 pm at The University of Pennsylvania’s Zellerbach Theater.

Audition Information

Dancers will be divided into two groups, arranged by ages 6.5-11 and ages 12 -17. Both groups will audition on Saturday, October 8th at 1:00 pm. The audition will consist of a combination in center and an across the floor. There is no cost to audition.

• Please arrive between 12:00 and 12:30 to warm up, stretch, and complete any necessary registration if not already done online. The audition will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. The younger group will be seen first from 1-1:30pm, followed by the older group.
• YOU WILL BE CAST BY 2:00 PM THE DAY OF AUDITIONS! Come prepared to stay for the afternoon for rehearsal with the Moscow Ballet’s rehearsal director if you are cast.
• IF YOU ARE CAST you must also come back also on Wednesday, October 12th after 4pm for your 2nd rehearsal with the Moscow rehearsal director.

All auditions and rehearsals will be held at The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts, 2324 Second Street Pike, Newtown, PA 18940. Contact the PSPA Studio for directions.

Dress Code

Boys’ Attire: White T-shirt, dark colored shorts OR dark sweat pants, black jazz pants or tights, white socks OR barefoot/ballet/dance shoes.

Girls’ Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes (pointe shoes if on pointe), and hair in a

ballet bun. Older ballet dancers bring pointe shoes if you have the appropriate training.
