Authorities Tell Fans To Play It Safe On Super Bowl Sunday
District attorney and police encourage locals to enjoy the Big Game, but warn that officers will be looking for drunken drivers.
NEWTOWN, PA —When Super Bowl LV takes place Sunday night, there are expected to be fewer parties than normal due to the coronavirus pandemic. But millions of fans still will be watching the game and likely enjoying an alcoholic beverage or two while doing so.
With that in mind, authorities in Bucks County are warning fans there will be plenty of law enforcement officers patrolling the streets for impaired drivers.
"I encourage everyone who watches the Super Bowl to have fun, but responsibly," said Matt Weintraub, Bucks County district attorney. "We will have police DUI enforcement details operating all over the county to make sure everyone gets home safely. Please be safe."
