Band Fundraiser, Chicken BBQ Among Weekend Events

DRIVE 4 UR SCHOOL
Where/when: Saturday 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Council Rock High School North
Why go: Bill Marsh Ford and Council Rock High School North Band Parents Association are partnering for the “Drive 4 UR School” fundraiser. Come to the school between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., test drive a car and the band gets $20 for each test drive.

ANNUAL CHICKEN BBQ

Where/when: Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Saint Johns United Methodist Church
Why go: The 29th annual Chicken BBQ will feature dine in or take out. There will be free children's activities from 1 to 4 p.m., including a bounce house, face painting, spin art, a scavenger hunt and more.

FARMERS MARKET
What: The Wrightstown Farmers Market offers various food items from local producers
When/where: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wrightstown Township Municipal Building, 2203 2nd Street Pike

EVERYBODY LOVES OPAL
Where/When: 8 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Town and Country Players in Buckingham
Why go: This comed by John Patrick chronicles the antics of Opal Kronkie, a middle-aged recluse, who lives in general disarray in her tumbledown mansion at the edge of the municipal dump.
Cost: $15. Buy tickets.
ANNUAL KIDS ONLY 3K
Where/When: 9 a.m. Sunday at Doylestown’s Central Park.
Why go: It's a fundraiser benefiting the iRun4Life organization which supports elementary school running programs throughout the area that promote self esteem, health and fitness.
