Bucks County Community College has launched a year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary.
The Bucks County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted a resolution on June 22, 1964 to sponsor Bucks County Community College. Since then, more than a million people have received an education there, according to figures from the college.
“Bucks County Community College has achieved the rare distinction of being a truly global institution of higher learning,” said Board of Trustees chair Blake Eisenhart. “Stella Elkins Tyler, an accomplished sculptor and artist of her time, and her husband George, would be very proud of the college that began, and has flourished, on their beautiful estate.”
