BCCC To Offer Pilot Training Course
Information sessions for the Private Pilot Ground School Training to be offered at Bucks County Community College will be held this week.

NEWTOWN, PA — Bucks County Community College will offer Private Pilot Ground School Training at both its Newtown and Upper Bucks campuses starting in February.
The course, which meets once a week for eight weeks, provides the necessary knowledge to take the FAA’s written exam to become a private pilot, the college said in an announcement. "Topics covered include aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, navigation, weather, flight planning, regulations, and airspace."
If you want to learn more, there will be two information sessions. The first will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 at the Newtown Campus (275 Swamp Rd., Newtown.)

The second takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at the Upper Bucks Campus, located at One Hillendale Rd., Perkasie.
Students must be 15 years old prior to the start of the class.

The course meets from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, February 2 to March 23, at the Upper Bucks Campus. Another section meets 6:30 to 9:30 Monday, February 4 to March 25, at the Newtown Campus.
Tuition is $549. Those who enroll at an information session will get a 10 percent discount on tuition.
