Bear Sighting Reported in Upper Makefield

A bear sighting was reported Wednesday in Upper Makefield Township, police said.

The bear was seen on Eagle Mountain, which is located between Stoneybrook and Thompson Mill roads.

“The bear is back!,” Upper Makefield Police said on Facebook, along with a photo shared by a reader. “The bear has been fattening up for winter by eating from a resident’s bird feeder as their bird feeder has been destroyed twice.”

Police are advising residents to keep trash cans secured.
